Welcome, fellow explorers! I’m Cindy Cone, and I’m excited to invite you into my world of travel, nature, and discovery. My journeys have taken many forms over the years, but one thing has never changed—my passion for exploring wild places and experiencing the wonder of our planet.
From Backpacker to Adventurer
Early Days:
• Backpacking & Hiking:My travels began with independent treks through the national parks of the western United States—days filled with trail dust, starry skies, and the joy of discovery.
• RV Life: Later came the RV years, when the comforts of home rolled with me into countless national parks, blending adventure with convenience.
• Volunteering with Earthwatch Expeditions: My travels also turned outward, as I joined Earthwatch Expeditions in South America and Africa. These conservation projects allowed me to give back, connect with wildlife, and learn from diverse cultures.
Today’s Journeys:
Now retired, my style has shifted to what I call “soft adventure travel.” I still seek out unique destinations and unforgettable wildlife encounters, but with a touch more comfort built in.
• Comfort with Adventure: I may no longer sleep on the ground, but I still thrive on exploring nature, hiking trails, and enjoying fine dining after a day of adventure.
• Group Travel: Planning and sharing these experiences with small groups of friends is one of my greatest joys. There’s something magical about discovering new places and wildlife together.
